4.2 Coordination with other ATC

TWR

4.2.1 APP shall supply the following information to TWR:

  • Pertinent information on all relevant arriving flights including the type of flight (IFR, SVFR or VFR) and ETA.
  • The anticipated order in which control of aircraft is to be transferred.
  • The anticipated delay to departing flights together with the reason for the delay.
  • ACC

    4.2.2 APP shall supply ACC with the following data:-

    1. Runway in use.
    2. Required lateral spacing through each entry point, the “standard rate” is 10nm in trail.
    3. Inbound clearances for arriving flights in the following sequence:-
      1. Inbound clearance (STAR) – aircraft callsign’ OR
      2. Clearance limit.

    ‘Inbound clearance SAA503 – cleared to AVUBU BLV, FL080 to cross AVUBU FL120
    or above.

    CO-ORDINATION BETWEEN APP AND TWR

    4.2.3 TWR shall keep APP promptly advised of pertinent data on relevant controlled traffic such as:

    1. departure sequence;
    2. pertinent information about departing aircraft; notable speed differences, climb rates, pilot requests;
    3. information concerning missed approaches;
    4. information concerning aircraft that constitute essential local traffic to aircraft under the control of the unit providing approach control service.

    4.2.4 APP shall keep TWR promptly advised of pertinent data on controlled traffic such as:

    1. pertinent information of arriving aircraft, i.e. visual approach;
    2. anticipated delay to departing traffic due to congestion.
