5.1 Provision of Services

5.1.1 ACC shall provide:

  1. Control service to all flights in class A airspace and to IFR flights in class C airspaces.
  2. Flight Information service to all flights.
  3. Alerting service to all flights.

EXTENT OF RESPONSIBILITY

5.1.2 All airspace’s, other than ATZs, CTRs, TMAs and ATAs within the boundaries of the relevant FIR and any additional airspace which may be designated in the division ATC procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

5.1.3 ACC is responsible for:

  1. The prevention of collisions between controlled flights described in 1 (a) above; and
  2. The issuance of essential traffic information to the flights described in 1 (a) above and traffic information to other known flights operating within its area of responsibility; and
  3. Maintaining a safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic in the CTAs, UTAs, AWYs and RNAV routes under its control; and
  4. Alerting and Flight Information Service to all flights operating within its area of responsibility.
